Professor Amer was awarded as an old AAD (American Academy of Dermatology) member for more than 25 years so he is a life member. He is a member since 1975&he is the oldest member in the Middle East. Also he was invited recently by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia to give a talk in the annually meeting as he is the only member from the Middle East in this College. The College is the oldest medical organization in USA (founded in 1787). The college is home of Mutter Museum and the historical Medical Library. The college I located in Philadelphia.

Professor Amer and Dr/Amin will be publishing a book soon with Professor Novak from Croatia about the side effects of corticosteroids. The book is already published by many languages but the English version will be available by the end of this year. Also introduction of the book will be on-line soon.

Cairo derma III will be held next year in Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo from 10-13 May 2008. Post congress course will be held on 14-15 May 2008 in the same hotel. The congress this year will host the 5th international congress of AMED (Mediterranean European association of Dermatology) for the first time in the Middle East. The congress is organized by the AFRAD(African Association for Dermatology).Professor Mohamed Amer is the president of the congress.
